Atlantic Ecological Services was founded with a commitment to providing innovative environmental consulting solutions rooted in scientific expertise, ethical practices, and environmental responsibility.
Mr. Jody Sisk has been an ecological consultant in Florida for more than 25 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida and a Master of Science in Marine Biology from Nova Southeastern University. Throughout his career, he has managed a wide range of environmentally complex projects for high-profile clients, including the Florida Department of Transportation, the South Florida Water Management District, Volusia County Council, Flagler County Board of County Commissioners, Daytona International Speedway, as well as numerous municipalities, land developers, and private landowners.
In 2014, Mr. Sisk founded Atlantic Ecological Services to focus his professional expertise on ecological consulting services, including protected species management, wetland consulting, environmental land planning, land management, and marine consulting.
Atlantic Ecological Services was established on the principle of treating every client with professionalism and respect while delivering innovative solutions to complex environmental challenges. The company remains committed to creating successful project outcomes through the careful balance of human development needs and environmental preservation.
Mr. Oravetz brings 17 years of environmental consulting experience supporting both public and private sector clients across a diverse range of ecological and environmental projects. As a professional biologist, he specializes in wetland and endangered species permitting, wetland delineation and assessments, mitigation design and planning, water quality sampling and analysis, and biological assessments.
His professional experience also includes NEPA reporting and documentation, critical constraint analysis for facility siting, environmental impact statements, wildlife survey methodology development, and marine environmental studies involving seagrass surveys, pollutant reduction analysis, benthic organism surveys, flushing analysis, and water quality investigations.
Mr. Oravetz has conducted biological surveys for numerous protected and sensitive species, including the Florida sandhill crane, Southeastern American kestrel, Florida scrub jay, loggerhead shrike, wood stork, red-cockaded woodpecker, crested caracara, Swainson’s warbler, flatwoods salamander, reticulated flatwoods salamander, striped newt, gopher tortoise, desert tortoise, tri-colored bat, and eastern indigo snake.
His extensive scientific expertise, field experience, and regulatory knowledge continue to support Atlantic Ecological Services’ commitment to delivering accurate, responsible, and environmentally sound consulting solutions.
